Kid’s as innovators..

I presented at OTC12 (Online Teaching Conference) in June, and was so inspired by the keynote speaker, Yong Zhao. He charted a new path for global learning, entrepreneurial teaching, and teaching to INDIVIDUALS, rather than teaching to a standardized, national ‘Common Core,’ which sounds like a nightmare.

The best book about learning that I’ve read in a while is “Creating Innovators,” by Tony Wagner. Wonderful case studies back up some very counter-intuitive ideas about what nurtures, and what kills off, children’s natural genius-level creativity. It inspired me to start a new blog, I called “Kinderpreneurs.”
